Apna Bahini Se Biyah Kara Dana and the film is expected to be released in April. We called Shweta to ask about her Bhojpuri gambit, but she was away and her phone was answered by husband Raja Chaudhary, so we chatted with him instead.Raja has produced
s… and says, incredibly, that he had never watched a Bhojpuri film before making one. “I hadn’t seen any but Shweta had seen a couple before she worked on our film,” he said. In their home production, Shweta plays Radha, who falls in love with Suraj (Ravi Kissen of
Bigg Boss). Suraj is poor and a musician, playing the guitar. Raja also acts in the movie, playing a negative character who tries to create problems between Radha and Suraj, but in the end they come together.
“Our home production is complete and we’ll release the film next month. Meanwhile Shweta was approached by Surendra Pal. He read somewhere that Shweta was doing a Bhojpuri film and was keen to work with her. We met and he narrated the role to Shweta who liked it and accepted the offer,” Raja said.
“In this film she is the lead opposite famous Bhojpuri actor-singer Manoj Tiwari. She plays the role of a village girl who falls in love during her sister’s wedding. The boy she loves is the brother-in-law of her sister. Both of them are in college and never get the chance to express their feelings to each other. In the end they marry.†“Shweta finds this role very good because there’s no vulgarity in it. On the other hand she is not happy with the kind of roles she is getting in Hindi films.”
